Gas is not something that you can play around with.
Any caravan, motorhome or campervan owned in New Zealand with gas appliances or LPG cylinders should hold a Gasfitting Certificate Code of Compliance. If you are selling a vehicle with gas fittings you have an obligation for it to be compliant.

There are strict caravan gas regulations in New Zealand and any gas work needs to comply with the AS/NZS 5601.2:2013 standard. In addition, it must be completed by a qualified gasfitter.

Gas Appliance Installation & Repairs

Our qualified gasfitters can safely install and service all approved gas appliances in your motorhome or campervan. We supply and maintain all gas appliances including gas heaters, refrigerators, cooktops, and hot water systems/califonts. As part of the installation process, we will provide all relevant compliance stickers.

We work on all brands of appliances including Dometic, Thetford, Eno, Force 10, Camec, CAN, Suburban water heaters NZ, Vitrifrigo, Propex gas heaters and Truma just to name a few.

Gas Certifications

Remain compliant by completing gas safety checks every other year. We are specialists when it comes to providing in depth knowledge of current LPG rules and regulations on recreational vehicles. We will inspect your vehicle to ensure all gas work adheres to current New Zealand gas standards.

An audit takes approximately 30 minutes, including LP Gas leak tests, and if the vehicle complies we can issue certification straight away. If anything needs to be changed in order for your motorhome or campervan to meet current gas regulations, we will discuss this with you.

Annual and pre-purchase gas safety checks and leak checks on your vehicle‘s gas fitting system. If you can smell gas, turn off your gas bottle immediately and call us.
Gas Certifications for your motorhome or RV. Our certifications are recognised by all New Zealand insurance companies. By law, any gas fitting work done on a motorhome, boat or caravan must be lodged on the New Zealand energy safety website as it is classified as high-risk gas fitting.
